Mold Technician Trainee

Phillips Multi-Shot, Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Responsibilities:

  • This is a 3rd shift position (11 p.m. - 7 a.m.) 
    • Change over and set-up molding jobs consistent with process control capabilities and quoted standards
    • Evaluate molding processes in order to update techniques and improve quality and productivity efficiencies
    • Effective "Step by Step" troubleshooting
    • Completely responsible for part containment
    • Keep work area clean
    • Report incidents and injuries to team leader/manager immediately
    • Recognize close-call incidents and safety hazards and take action to eliminate them
    • Use equipment properly and follow the safety features/operating procedures
    • Wear applicable personal protective equipment
    • Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures
    • Actively participate in continual improvement, corrective action, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

 

  • Pass entry assessments for Mold Tech Development program and agree to participate in the Mold Tech Development Program
  • High School diploma or equivalency, Associate degree preferred
  • Exposure to automated work cells, robotics, and closed loop systems, helpful

 

Skills / Competencies

 

  • Exhibit a high degree of leadership and technical skill
  • Excellent basic math skills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Complete knowledge of machine process variables and how each affects part characteristics
  • Strong commitment to quality
  • Be self-directed with excellent organizational, communication, time management, and problem solving skills

Must be comfortable working in a "Team" environment
